I used up my Mally Perfect Prep Poreless Primer and needed more. I remembered I hadn’t used all my Neutrogena Primer up so I thought I’d finish it up before I hit the beauty supply store. I put it on and the application just was not the same; it didn’t go on as easily. I was used to the smooth, easy spread that came with the Mally.
“You just need a day or two to switch gears,” I said to myself. So, I kept with the Neutrogena for a few days and then thought, “Bag it. This is not working.” To Ulta Beauty I went. While browsing the Mally Beauty counter, I came across the Mally Perfect Prep Primer Glow (also called Mally’s Perfect Prep Poreless Illuminating Primer). “What’s this?” I wondered. I picked up the jar and read the label. “What’s the glow? This is what I learned.
Mally’s Perfect Prep Poreless Illuminating Primer is the essential first step for any makeup routine. This formula has the same features and benefits as the original, but with a subtle shimmer that gives you a lit-from-within glow. Ultra lightweight, but still rich feeling, it creates the perfect, seamless canvas for your makeup by minimizing fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. It also hydrates your skin and seals in moisture so your skin feels radiant and your makeup looks morning fresh all day. Mally Beauty
I looked for a tester and smoothed a bit on the back of my hand. I liked the way it felt on my skin. It went on easily and had the same silky feel of the Mally Prep Poreless Primer. It had all the same properties but provided a hint of illumination, an inner glow. Hmmm. I decided to give it a try. I loved the original version. I couldn’t wait to see how the enhanced product worked.
Loved it! I’ve been using it for several weeks and I absolutely love it. My makeup couldn’t go on any smoother and it looks great all day and I do have a subtle glow. Mally Perfect Prep Poreless Illuminating Primer is definitely a hit. At $35, it’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it.
I also like the fact that it’s in a jar. I don’t know, but there’s something about using my fingers to scoop it out and smooth it across my face that feels so feminine.
Maybe it reminds me of watching my mother and my aunts primp when I was a little girl. They’d put their fingers in a jar of face cream, scoop it out, and smooth it on their faces. I remember them doing that and that’s what I do. I like it.
If you’ve got large pores or fine lines, you should definitely give this product a try. If you don’t like silicone based products, I’d start with the small travel size. There’s enough in it to give you a good sample to help you make a decision about whether or not you want to purchase a full size product.
