Just a Few Unboxings

I love Unboxings I love unboxngs.

Each box is its own special treat — a gift just waiting to be opened.  That’s why I love getting subscription boxes so much — it’s like Christmas or my birthday every month.  Always a welcome surprise.

I been doing unboxings regularly on my YouTube channel Makeup On Aisle 64 but I have been neglectful in sharing these with you.  I’m taking care of that right now by linking a playlist for your viewing pleasure.  Enjoy!  If you want to see more, visit me on YouTube at Makeup on Aisle 64.

Which was your favorite unboxing?

Do you subscribe to any subscription box services?  If so, which one?  Tell me about it in the comment section.

Health on Aisle 64… My Weight Is Out of Control

Health On Aisle 64... Getting My Weight Under ControlMy weight is out of control

I need help!

I’ve been paying attention to everything and everybody but myself.  What happens when I get into this routine?  Well — I tend to stress eat.  I eat, and eat, and eat some more.

What kind of foods?  Comfort foods.  Mashed potatoes and gravy.  Macaroni and cheese.  Chips and salsa.  Coffee with lots of cream and sugar.  Dutch apple pie.   Snickers Ice Cream.  Dairy Queen’s Pecan Mud Slide.  None of this is in moderation so it’s not good for my health.  It’s wreaking havoc with my cholesterol level (it’s much too high) and I’ve gained weight.  My clothes don’t fit and I just don’t feel myself.  I decided enough was enough.  I had to get back on track.  Weight Watchers here I come.

Health On Aisle 64... Getting My Weight Under Control-- Back to Weight Watchers

I tried to sabotage myself by missing the 7:30 AM weigh in.  I woke up at 8, laid there, and debated whether or not I should go to the next class.  At 8:15, I jumped out of bed, scurried around, and got myself to the 9:30 class at 9:35. I am so glad I went.

Health On Aisle 64... Getting My Weight Under Control Weighing InThe weigh-in was ugly but I did not expect anything different.  I hadn’t been eating or acting in a way to get different results. What I did get was a warm and encouraging words that let me know I was in the right place to get the help I needed.

Health On Aisle 64... Getting My Weight Under Control - Welcome KitI also got a welcome kit that included a What to Eat booklet. I will use it to take control of my eating.  I will use it to plan healthy meals for me and my husband to enjoy.  No more rush rush and eating on the fly.  We’ll spend more time sitting on the porch enjoying a meal and less time with a plate in front of the television.  It’ll be nice.  Very nice.

Health On Aisle 64... Getting My Weight Under Control - My Calorie-Free TreatSooooooo, what calorie-free treat did I pick up to reward myself for getting to the Weight Watchers meeting?  I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.

Ulta Beauty is just about three shops down from my Weight Watchers meeting and everything in there was plan friendly.  And, whereas I can have a latte on my Weight Watchers plan, I know that coffee is one of my trigger items.  It doesn’t end with the coffee – it’s all the cream and sugar or the lemon pound cake or the apple cinnamon muffin that I like to go with it.  On this day, so as not to be tempted, I decided Ulta was a better bet.

Why Medium Brown and not Ebony as the display literature recommended?  The aesthetician tried a couple of different shades on me and we decided the Medium Brown worked best.  One of the things I notice is that as I age, if I use too dark a color on the brows, lids, or lips, it can add a few years to my face, so I’m a bit cautious about this.

What are you doing for health or fitness?

Have you set any goals in that direction?  Tell me about it in the comments section.  I’ll keep you up to date on what I’m doing.  You keep me up-to-date on what you’re doing.
