Daytime and Evening Look with Tartelette

Makeup On Aisle 64 On My Wish List Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette

My newest love!

Spring is finally here and I’m ready for a new look.  I’m ready for a look that’s a little lighter and brighter.  A look that says Spring is here.  I believe I achieved that look with my new Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette.

I had two events to go to — a daytime event and an evening affair.  The daytime event was a ladies’ luncheon. The evening event was a cotillion.  This was the perfect time for me to try my new Tartelette palette and see if it could take me from daytime to night time.

My look for the Ladies’s Luncheon

I wore a colorful Ralph Lauren dress to the luncheon.  Since I wanted to keep it light, I used the Day Time look as suggested on the insert.  I used Caregiver on the lid and up to the brow bone, Natural Beauty in the inner crease, and Best Friend in the outer crease.  I took a wet eye liner to apply Bombshell and ended up with a bright, cheerful look — perfect for a ladies’ luncheon.

My look for the Cotillion

For the Cotillion, I wanted to glam it up.  I deepened the eye shadow and rocked a smokey eye to go with my little black dress. For this look, I swept Free Spirit over the lid and up to the brow bone, used Force of Nature as a transition color, and Multi-tasker in the outer corner of the eye to create a smokey effect.  I used a black eyeliner to give the look a bit more drama.  All in all, I think I did pretty good.

I like this palette.  It is a bit powdery and I notice a bit of dust up when I’m using the lighter colors like the Free Spirit, Care Giver, and Super Mom. I don’t notice that I’m dropping shadow on my face during the application but I do see the “dust” in the palette.  The darker shades don’t seem to be quite as “dusty” or powdery.  This colors in the palette worked out well for me but I wonder how it would look on darker skin tones.

What about you?
